These four images represent the four possibilities for capturing motion.  In the first image, neither the camera nor the car are in motion.  In the second, the car is not moving, but the camera is.  In the third, the camera is still, but the car is moving.  In the last image, both the car and the camera are in motion.

When I started thinking about creating a series capturing motion, I knew that simply photographing a car wasn’t going to be good enough for me.  I chose to create an automobile glamour shoot using a toy car in order to challenge myself and really dive into exactly what motion I wanted to capture.  To create the last shot, I taped both the car and my camera to a serving tray and swung it around like a lunatic in my yard until I got the shot I wanted.  Bonus behind the scenes photo below.
